Welcome New Friends

This weekend I am headed to Park City for Evo: The Evolution of Women in Social Media.

I am a conference volunteer again this year …and so excited! I will be partying it up as bloggers do at these kinds of social media conferences and learning about everything from working with sponsors to SEO to photography to podcasting.

Speaking of podcasting, I am the community manager for MommyCast.com and our main man, Paul Vogelzang will be sharing his great podcasting/vlogging wisdom with us all. I cannot wait. (Follow MommyCast on Facebook and Twitter!)

One of the things I get to help with at Evo is a party of “newbies” where we will be networking fools. I plan on making tons of new friends.

Yay for new friends!

Allow me a minute to introduce myself to all my new Evo friends.

My name is Lindsey or Mrs. R.

I’ve been married to my hunka-hunka burnin’ love for a decade but we’ve known each other since we were wee teenagers.

We are infertility survivors of six years. I like to call us infertility warriors because it makes us sound tough.

Through the absolute miracle that is adoption, we were given the gift of parenthood and are the adoring parents of two of the cutest little boys this world has ever seen. (I can say this as loudly as I want as I have nothing to do with their ridiculously intense good looks.)

We have a very open adoption with our kids’ birth families and love having them in our home and sending them updates every month. I don’t know how we got so lucky, but we seriously did. I thank heaven every day for our huge, extended, multicultural, diverse, unconventional family.

My husband is an adoption social worker.

I am a hand-stamped sterling silver jewelry maker.

Our boys are mischievous.

…and that’s The R House.

I’ve always wanted to go to this! There is one in October that I am totally considering. Have you been before?
