Heber Valley Railroad | Day Out With Thomas

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we are train people.

We love to ride Heber Valley Railroad’s North Pole Express and we love Thomas the Train. These two things coming together? Amazing!

This Memorial Day weekend, blow your kids’ little train-loving minds with a Day Out with Thomas.

The event includes a 25 minute train ride, temporary tattoos, giant hay bale maze, mini golf course, balloon tying clowns, magic shows, storytelling, etc. But how about a chance for your child to be the Honorary Conductor who is the first to board the train, pull the train horn and yell, “All aboard!”? I know, I know. It’s too good to be true.

Heber Valley Railroad is having a contest to select the Honorary Conductor and giveaway a family four-pack tickets.

Ready to win tickets? Get your videographer skills ready for your chance to win a family four-pack to Day Out With Thomas! The contest starts next week and will run May 1-14. They are looking for the biggest Thomas the Tank Engine fan to be named this year’s Honorary Conductor.
Here’s how it will work:

•May 1-14, post a video on Heber Valley Railroad’s Facebook page of your little conductor and why he or she is the biggest Thomas fan
•Get others to “like” your video submission
•One winner will be selected each week for a family four-pack of tickets to Day Out With Thomas
•One winner will be selected on May 15 to be named the Honorary Conductor and win a family four-pack of tickets to Day Out With Thomas

When each of my boys turned 2, we celebrated train style. Go here and here for Thomas the Train birthday ideas.

Full Disclosure: I was compensated for this post. Opinions and love for trains are all my own.

tyson is two

my oldest is a train aficionado.

naturally, we encourage this kind of curiosity. so, for tyson’s birthday, we took a family train ride on the heber creeper. he loved it. he was wide-eyed the whole time–and it was a 90 minute ride.

then afterward, it was cake and ice cream and way too many presents for the average 2-year-old, but just the right amount for my little star.

happy birthday, t!
