What to wear to the park and pool

Just about every day I take me kids to a picnic lunch in the park.

It’s one of my favorite things about the summertime. We eat lunch on a blanket. We chat about the weather. I watch them do “cool tricks” on the playground. We laugh. I listen to them tell me about all the new friends they are making, savoring this unique time in our family life. I hope my kids will remember this time together with as much fondness as I do.

Sometimes we invite friends, sometimes it is just me and my boys.

Often we head straight to the pool from our picnic lunch for more memory making. I feel like I am always taking SO much gear to lunch and the pool–goggles, towels, snacks, water, sunblock, floaties, water guns, etc. To simplify, I make sure that I don’t have to change clothes between picnic time and pool time. Just one less thing to worry about, you know?

Tunic . SuitSandals

As someone who tries to dress modestly, I am always on the lookout for swimwear/clothing/cover-ups that will work for my picnic to pool agenda.

Check out these modest swim suits. I believe that blue one in the middle is a Control Max suit–designed with a liner to keep your tummy tucked in while you are laying out. Um, yes please.
