Looking for some new birth parent package ideas?
Maybe a creative birth parent gift?
Send a hug!
This birth parent package includes:
- Hug–just use a marker and trace the outline of your child with their arms open. I have a giant roll of butch paper that I use for these kinds of projects.
- Letter
- Wallet size school picture
- Monogrammed clutch brag book full of photos. (I believe it holds 36.)
Here’s what the inside of the clutch looks like:
Isn’t it darling?
Months ago, the Salvation Army shop was going out of business in our area. I picked up a bunch of these little monogrammed clutch photo albums for $0.30 each–brand new and in the packaging. They are so adorable.
I filled the album with photos of our adventures so far this summer–from playing with cousins to boating to reading books to golfing to water parks.
I send packages like these about once a month and have for the last 5 years. I love to do it. So do my kids. However, every week for the first 6 months after placement, I would send just an envelope full of photos and a note about what new things baby was doing that week.
Why I send packages to my kids’ birth parents.

Super cute! I think I just may have to include a send-a-hug card for our DD’s birthmom’s birthday this month!
I think your birthmom gifts are awesome!
