There have been some changes with the Families Supporting Adoption (FSA) conference.
This year (and hopefully this year only), in lieu of the International FSA Conference that brought so many of my beloved readers to my beloved Beehive State (remember our pre-conference party last year? Man, that was fun!) there are just going to be regional conferences. (Which were already happening outside of Utah.)
Utah’s conference will be August 10th and 11th at the LDS Institute for Religion at the University of Utah.
IT IS FREE to everyone.

I will be teaching two classes at the conference–both on Saturday.
10:30-11:20: Making your Adoption Happen (Co-teaching with the very handsome Josh Redfern, LCSW)
It’s often said that the hardest part of adoption is the wait. Turn that frown upside down as we fill your idea toolbox on how to make your adoption happen and in the process create a strong network for yourself that spreads the word of your hope to adopt.
11:40-12:30: Advocating Adoption (Co-teaching with Tamra Hyde)
Even busy people like you can be adoption advocates. Come and learn how you can advocate for adoption in your community no matter how much time you have to donate. Go home with tons of ideas you can start doing today!
If you don’t know Tamra Hyde …you need to.
Here’s my all-time favorite adoption video starring her!
Again, IT IS FREE so even if you can’t stay for both days, just come for the classes you are interested in.
You can register HERE.
While registering, it will ask you to sign up for the classes you want to attend. Make sure you sign up for mine so that I have enough handouts for you. That’s right, you will NOT be going home empty handed.
Will I see you there?
