Boys Tie & Bow Tie Giveaway | The Little Gentleman’s Closet

Apr 13, 2012

On Easter Sunday, we chatted with one of my kids’ birth grandpas.

He had just gotten the Easter package I sent him including this year’s Easter photos.

Grandpa said, “Man, he sure knows how to wear a tie!”

So true. They are little gentlemen, aren’t they?

I get asked all the time where I got these adorable little boy ties.

The truth is that they are from my super talented cousin’s Etsy shop called The Little Gentleman’s Closet.

They are the best quality I have found for little boy ties. My kids have been wearing them for over a year and they still look amazing.

Fashionable and durable, I love the special clips on these ties (so they can’t rip them off like the clip-on or play with the zipper like the zip-up kind) and I love that the ties can grow with them (they are full adjustable, some up to 9 years).

Because my cousin is AWESOME, she is sponsoring a giveaway where one lucky reader will win a tie of their choice from her shop. (Good luck trying to choose, my cousin is a tie genius!)

If you would like to enter this giveaway, here is what to do:

  • Simply leave a comment on this post telling me which tie or bow tie ($20 value) you love the most.

If you would like to increase your chances of winning with an extra entry, here is what to do: Leave an additional comment after completing.

  • Follow my blog by clicking on the orange RSS icon an the top of the sidebar.

I can’t ask you to follow me on Facebook and Twitter for an extra entry (rules and what not!), but I would sure love you forever and ever if you did. Come and join the on-going conversation with The R House community on Facebook.

P.S. Sharing is easier than ever with the Facebook and Twitter buttons at the top of the post and the Be Sociable section at the end of the post.

Entries will be accepted until Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11:59 PM MST. The winner will be announced on Thursday on Facebook and notified by email.

The winner will have 3 days to accept the prize, after which a new winner will be selected.

I wanted to make sure this post when live in enough time for you to know about it for Mother’s Day.

In our community, Mother’s Day may be a difficult day. Growing up, it was not my mom’s favorite holiday either. Then she had a change of heart where she chose to celebrate US–who made her a mother–on Mother’s Day. She even dressed my brothers in matching new ties on her special day. Maybe, just maybe, this is something that your heart needs this Mother’s Day.

…and now you know where to get the world’s cutest ties. Ever.

  1. Those are the best boys ties ever! I am going to buy one even if I don’t win. I love all the plaid ones. I would probably go with one of the red, yellow, green, blue so my twins can coordinate instead of match exactly.

  5. Adorable!!!

I can’t decide if I love the gray argyle or the multicolored plaid tie more. I think I need both. For my two year old and my 7 month old.

    5
  6. I follow your blog of course.

And I consider you a dear adoption friend. That might not make my entry count more, but it makes it worth more.

  17. What about the suspenders that your adorable boys wore to your brothers wedding? Where’d those come from? I cannot find suspenders anywhere for my four year old.

    17
  18. I was just telling my husband last night that I wanted to go shopping this weekend for new ties for our boys… but I wasn’t super motivated because it’s almost impossible to find little boy ties where we live. THIS IS PERFECT!!! Now I can shop from the comfort of my couch, even in my pjs and bed head hair if I so desire! Like many others have already said, whether or not I win I’m going to be buying from her shop for sure! As far as favorites… there are so many… I love the brown and blue ones, the gray argyle, the multi-colored stripe, the bicycle, tan argyle, multi-colored argyle… oh, this is so bad!!!

    18
  19. I love them all. I’m glad that I saw these, my boys would look darling in them, since we are finalizing our adoption at the end of the month!

  43. Thanks for sharing that store on Etsy. It is nice to see someone that will put together quality “gentlemans” accessories! It is hard to see little boys come to church that are constantly playing with their zipper ties and especially one of the boys that takes his tie off weekly in my primary class and twirls it around his head! :) My favorite is the “little boy blue and green plaid”! It is so sofisticated and not something that just any little boy (or even man) would wear!

    43
  44. I love the green boys’ tie because I know that is the one my son Liam would love. Love all of them though- they are awesome! So is your blog.

    44
  45. And I already follow your blog on facebook and my feed.

  54. I absolutely love these! I think the blue, green and white floral is my favorite. All I have for my two boys are two clip ons and I despise them. They are riped off in a matter of seconds so they were a total waste. Love these. Thanks for the info. – Ranie
